LUX Kids

Jess is working with the LUX Light Festival to deliver a pilot of their LUX Kids programme.

LUX are collaborating with five regional councils to identify one class per region to develop an artwork that will align with one of the precinct themes of LUX; Te Aõ Marama, The Circus, The Playground, The Gallery or Urban Edge.

This six week programme is aimed at children in years 5 and 6 who will build a light installation made from recycled materials, including learning about the electronics and light elements.

At the end of the six week programme the work will be installed in each town or suburb centre. These works will be on display during LUX from the 12-21 of May.

You can follow their weekly progress on LUX’s website: lux.org.nz
